Meet The Seminar Speakers

 

 

 

Sharlene King is a specialist in Wellness and Nutrition, a Colon Hydro -Therapist, certified in Massotherapy & Esthetics. Sharlene is also a plant base raw food expert.
Since 2011, she has hosted The 101 on Blending classes and Sha King 50/50 raw un-cooking classes throughout the Islands of the Bahamas.
For the past 18 years, Sharlene has been presenting to organizations and coaching thousands of individuals and families, locally and internationally, assisting them on the start of their health journey through full body cleansing.
She is the pioneer of the popular Kings 21 Day Cleanse & Weight Loss program.
“14 years of transforming lives in 21 days”.
Also known as “Sha King,” Sha is the host of the Wellness Health radio show
“This is your life”, on PEACE 107.5 every Monday and Wednesday, 12:00- 1pm.
A mother of 5, and a home school educator, She is also a member of the Bahamas Home School Association. Sha is a swimming instructor, personal trainer and a marathon runner. 




 

 

Kitiboni (Kiti) Adderley is the Owner & Senior Physical Therapist of Handling Your Health Wellness & Rehab. Kiti graduated from the University of the West Indies School of Physical Therapy in 2000. Over the last 10 years, Kiti has been involved in an intensive study and mentorship of Oncology Rehabilitation and more specifically, Breast Cancer Rehab where her focus has been on limiting the side effects of cancer treatment including lymphedema, and improving the quality of life of cancer survivors. She has been a Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 2004. She is also a certified Mastectomy Breast Prosthesis and Bra Fitter and Custom Compression Garment Fitter.

Kiti is experienced and very successful in the treatment of most common conditions of the shoulder, spine, hip, knee and ankle. She has a passion for orthopedic and women's health and strives to provide high quality, personalized care. She is a very manual therapist and is trained in Myofascial Release and McKenzie's Techniques she is certified in Pregnancy Massage and is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.

Kiti is avid believer in continuing education to advance her skills and improve her treatment offerings to her patients.  Each year, Kiti has averaged 3 to 4 advanced continuing education courses through her 14 years as a clinician.  As she continues grow and to expand her skills, she provides a higher standard of care for the community she serves.  Kiti believes prevention is better than cure and the holistic approach to the patient.  She has dedicated her time to and shares her knowledge educating the public about wellness and how to manage chronic non communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

Kiti is a Professional Advisor of The Bahamas Breast Cancer Initiative Foundation and is  President of the Bahamas Association of Physiotherapists. She has worked with numerous National Sports Teams and has Volunteer with the National Kingdor Parkinsons Association.  
Kiti enjoys spending time with her husband, Jayson, and their three daughters. She also enjoys the outdoors, travelling, reading, cooking and crafting.

Angela Lightbourn

Angela is the Marketing Coordinator for the Solomon’s Fresh Market Brand; responsible for brand development, education and awareness. She studied English and Secondary Education at the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota.

 

Angela is an advocate for healthy living and self discovery. She will tell her personal story of overcoming her life long battle with negative body image, obesity and a dysfunctional relationship with food and what she did to lose 65 lbs!

 

 

Ellen Sands

Ellen studied Holistic Health Coaching through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is passionate in assisting people to make simple healthy lifestyle changes. She stands behind the bio-individuality concept and believes the improvement of our society depends on Education, Advancement, and Agriculture.

 

Ellen recently came onboard as Marketing Assistant at Fresh Market and is excited to help push the health message.
