Spiced Oatmeal Doughnuts with Blackcurrant Glaze
Ingredients Doughnuts
1 ½ cups cooked Bob’s Red Mill Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (follow instructions on package)
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ ginger
¼ cloves
¼ nutmeg
2 tbsp maple syrup
Dash of lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat the oven at 350°F
Grease and flour a doughnut pan
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Spoon the mixture into the doughnut cavities
Bake for 15 minutes
Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then dip in glaze
Glaze Ingredients
1 cup powder sugar
2 tbsp blackcurrant jam
1 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp milk
Directions:
Combine all ingredients together and mix well. More milk can be added if the glaze is too thick. Also more powdered sugar can be added if the glaze is too thin.
